Advantages of Buying a Holiday Home

Owning a static caravan gives you a true home‑from‑home — a place you can escape to whenever you wish, without the need for advance planning or booking.

It offers complete freedom for short or long breaks, is ideal as a halfway point if family members live far apart, and provides something for all the family to enjoy.

Purchasing a Holiday Home

If you’re considering buying a holiday home at Cripps Farm, the first step is deciding your budget.

  • Pre‑owned holiday homes can start from around £10,000
  • Brand‑new models can range from £50,000 to £350,000, depending on the make and model.

When choosing your holiday home and plot — whether static or lodge — we will provide an overall price, which includes:

  • Delivery
  • Siting fees
  • Site commission
  • VAT
  • Decking (if requested)

Once the price is agreed, we require a non‑refundable deposit, with the remaining balance due four weeks before the handover date.

If you purchase a brand‑new holiday home, most manufacturers offer a warranty starting from the day you take ownership. We recommend reading your user manuals for full details.

Ongoing Costs

After purchasing your holiday home, you will need to budget for:

  • Pitch fees
  • Insurance
  • Energy usage
  • Rates
  • Annual gas checks
  • Wi‑Fi (optional)
  • Maintenance and repairs
